Bucket Commands

The liorans3 bucket command group manages storage buckets on the Lioran S3 server.

1. liorans3 bucket list (alias: ls)​

Lists all storage buckets accessible to the authenticated account.

Syntax​

liorans3 bucket list
liorans3 bucket ls

2. liorans3 bucket create <bucket> (alias: mb)​

Creates a new storage bucket.

Syntax​

liorans3 bucket create <bucket> [options]
liorans3 bucket mb <bucket> [options]

Options​

  • --versioning: Enable object versioning for this bucket (default: false).
  • --quota <bytes>: Set storage quota in raw bytes.
  • --quota-mb <mb>: Set storage quota in Megabytes (MB).
  • --quota-gb <gb>: Set storage quota in Gigabytes (GB).

Examples​

# Create bucket with 20 GB quota
liorans3 bucket create assets --quota-gb 20

# Create bucket with versioning enabled
liorans3 bucket create documents --versioning

Example Output​

Bucket 'assets' created successfully (versioning: disabled, quota: 20.00 GiB).

3. liorans3 bucket info <bucket> (alias: get)​

Displays bucket metadata, owner, timestamps, versioning status, quotas, and tags.

Syntax​

liorans3 bucket info <bucket>
liorans3 bucket get <bucket>

4. liorans3 bucket update <bucket>​

Updates bucket parameters including quotas, versioning state, and metadata tags.

Syntax​

liorans3 bucket update <bucket> [options]

Options​

  • --versioning: Enable object versioning.
  • --no-versioning: Disable object versioning.
  • --quota <bytes>: Set bucket quota in raw bytes.
  • --quota-mb <mb>: Set bucket quota in Megabytes (MB).
  • --quota-gb <gb>: Set bucket quota in Gigabytes (GB).
  • --no-quota: Remove quota limit (set to unlimited).
  • --tag <key=value>: Add or update metadata tag (can be specified multiple times).

Example​

liorans3 bucket update assets --quota-gb 50 --tag environment=production --tag cost_center=infra

Example Output​

Bucket 'assets' updated successfully.

5. liorans3 bucket rm <bucket> (aliases: delete, rb)​

Deletes a storage bucket from the server.

Syntax​

liorans3 bucket rm <bucket> [options]
liorans3 bucket delete <bucket> [options]
liorans3 bucket rb <bucket> [options]

Options​

  • -f, --force: Force deletion even if the bucket contains objects.
  • -y, --yes: Skip interactive confirmation prompt.

Example​

# Safe deletion (fails if not empty)
liorans3 bucket rm temp-bucket

# Force deletion without confirmation
liorans3 bucket rm temp-bucket --force --yes

Example Output​

Bucket 'temp-bucket' deleted successfully.
